Unfair Fair!

I have got so much to crib about India today I don’t know where to begin? Let me start with the biggest shock which could have given me a heart attack if I were a heart patient. Like every day me, my husband and his colleague took our regular bus at 8.18am an AC Express (via sea link) from Powai to Colaba and surprisingly after a long time we got seats. Now we were obviously very happy about it but our happiness was short lived! While paying the fare our Kaka (the conductor) meekly said “Fair has increased” and obviously we expected a regular hike of Rs.5 to Maximum Rs.15. But as he soon started punching the tickets we were shocked to see Rs.55 increased to Rs.85!! Rs. 63 increased to Rs.105!!! And what can be worst than facing this immediately after you are told you are not getting a hike on your salary! It’s a tight slap on your face saying you do not deserve the basic comforts in life! I have never in my life seen this kind of a fare hike in public transport and they ask commuters to use Public Transport! How on earth do they except common man to even use public transport? The rickshaw drivers want people to treat them like government employees can anyone teach them to become well-mannered Indian citizen first!? The taxi drivers argue saying that they need an increase in fare because they do not stay in slums any more they stay in flats and their kids do not go to the municipality schools anymore they go to private schools! How is that supposed to be our problem? They should do something else to earn that extra money! Imagine we give similar argument to our bosses, we all know what we are getting in return! Whatever the issue only a common man has to suffer and all sitting up there are happy and content with the money earned through corruption. I wonder whom should we elect when they all fall in the same category?? Our ages old constitution and laws need to change! We have had enough now!
